Vibratory Casting Bed
Vibrates a freshly melt-cast propellant grain to settle the mixture and expel trapped air, producing a denser, homogenised cast.
About This Product
After melt-casting propellant into a mold or casing, the mixture can trap air pockets and settle unevenly as it cools. A vibratory casting bed addresses this by vibrating the cast directly after pouring, helping the mixture settle and expelling trapped air — producing a denser, more homogenised propellant grain with fewer internal voids.
How It's Used
- Place the filled mold/casing on the tray immediately after casting.
- Switch on and set the desired vibration speed.
- Run for the recommended settling time.
- Switch off and allow the cast to continue solidifying/curing as normal.
